Coffee from Clifton Coffee Roasters | Washed Process
Since 2001 Clifton Coffee Company have been building their name in the coffee industry as leaders in supply of coffee, training and servicing.
In 2013 they invested in their own in-house production roastery to concentrate solely on sourcing, roasting and supplying the worlds finest specialty coffees. In addition they are cultivating direct relationships with coffee producers in Central America to provide complete tractability from crop to cup.
The Washed Process method creates some of the world’s finest coffees with cleaner, fruitier tastes and higher acidity than other methods.
Washed coffee is produced by firstly pulping the coffee cherry to remove the outer layer of skin, before leaving the bean to ferment in water for one of two days. The mucilage is then washed from the bean once its aroma has been absorbed.
