From Ovenbird Coffee Roasters:

This limited-release coffee is grown at 1600-1800 mt in the mountains surrounding Lake Kivu in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) near the Rwandan border. Smooth and sweet with a silky medium body, this coffee features notes of honey, caramel and blackcurrant that are highlighted by our gentle medium roast. We are happy to promote Schluter’s project which is making a tremendous effort to enhance coffee quality and live conditions in the region. This is a washed process coffee, cultivated in high quality volcanic soil. Cupping notes of blackcurrants, summer fruits and molasses.
