Antioquia department is situated in the North-West of Colombia, with the main city in the area being Medellin. This region was the first to grow coffee in Colombia and is also where the FNC was created. Antioquia also produces the most of any region in Colombia, with around 130,000 hectares of coffee. We are currently offering two microlots from this region, Colombia Las Carmelitas and Colombia Las Acasias.

All of the producers of these microlots have benefited from the delos Andes training programme, which has helped them to create composting systems, make regular soil analyses for targeted fertiliser application and to increase yield and quality. Many of the producers are small holder farmers, who inherited a few hectares of land which have been producing coffee for generations.
