Getting product details...

Super creamy with peanut, caramel and chocolate notes. I know its not all about me but this is what I look for in a natural Brazil.
Owned by David Ottoni, one of the founding members of the Brazilian Speciality Coffee Association and part of the Ottoni family from whom we have bought coffee in the past (Cruzeiro), he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Fazenda Vereda.

The farm is spread across 1300 hectares of some of the best coffee growing terrain in Brazil and a region that was first to achieve PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status. Founded in 1986 the farm now grows arabica varietals of Red Catuai, Mundo Novo, Acacia and Yellow Icatu. This offering is 100% Red Catuai processed using the natural method. The drying method is in silos using dry air rather than hot air. Mr Ottoni claims this has a marked quality improvement in the cup and we agree with him. The coffee plants are shade grown in the traditional method taking their protection from avocado trees that produce their crop alongside the coffee plants.

This is roasted to a solid medium profile since I like to accentuate the body and sweetness and do not have to worry about reducing the acidity flavour profiles that I would with a washed coffee.
