This coffee comes from the Kayanza District, in the north of Burundi, near the border with Rwanda.
Maruri acts as a processing station where surrounding farmers deliver their harvested cherries and let the station wash them. The station also helps them with business organisation, marketing their coffees, financing harvests and also guidance with managing the plants.
