From Climpson & Sons:

Flavours of Pear, Pecan, Caramel.

We're happy to introduce the new Nicaraguan coffee from Finca Apolo 11. Farmer John Mark LaRue Palacious of the long established LaRue family of coffee growers runs the farm, named by his father when he first planted the coffee on the land during the famous spaceflight which led to the moon landing in 1969.

A fully washed and naturally processed strain of Caturra, the beans come from Jinotega in the north west of the country, a region long known for it's coffee production. While John Mark has been running the farm for over ten years, his family's history in the coffee industry can be traced back over five generations. A committed environmentalist, John Mark is always on the look out for innovative farming and waste management methods to reduce the impact on the local environment.

A sweet, low acidity coffee with a creamy mouthfeel. Brew this washed Nicaragan as an espresso or filter and you'll find consistent notes of honeycomb, toffee and pecan. A quaffable crowd pleaser.
