Foundry Coffee Roasters - El Sonoro #1 - Colombia

Sorry - Sold out - it's been popular!

Getting product details...

A complex Colombian coffee that's great for espresso, espresso based milk drinks and as a filter or Aeropress - wonderfully juicy and satisfying.

From Lee @ Foundry Coffee Roasters:

"We are excited to bring you this unusual coffee from Colombia. If you're expecting the usually big chocolate flavours, then you may well be in for a surprise! This is complex coffee. It reminds me of bonfire toffee, all sweet and sticky but with a gentle hint of papaya-like acidity.

This is the first time that we have roasted Castillo varietal. You'll notice the tannin finish which is crisp and bracing. This is one of those beans that comes along every so often and forces you to re-evaluate your ideas. Colombian coffee just got pretty exciting!

This coffee was sourced from Nordic Approach and the microlot has been specially selected by them from several smallholders and blended based on cup profile and sensory scores. We hope you enjoy seeing a different side to Colombian coffee!"
