Wonderful raisin & vanilla fudge flavours that give way to a lingering port-like character on the finish with notes of cocoa & clotted cream.

From Clifton Coffee:

It’s been a while since we’ve found a Brazilian coffee that delivers enough fruit & complexity to provide the perfect base for our EQ Espresso blend. But this natural lot from Fazenda Aracacu located in Tres pontas, Sul de Minas owned by Psychologist Carmen Lucia Chaves de Brito and her Family was a stand-out, so much so that we’ve made it available as a single origin – such is its quality and value.

The Chaves Brito family has been farming coffee for over a century. Currently the craft is in the fifth generation’s hands. Carmen, and her sisters denirse, leticia and brother Paulo Roberto are managing Fazenda Aracacu. Carmen has the most active role at the farm however. She is a psycologist who decided to take over the farm and develop the quality and expand the range of the coffees by planting new varietals, new processes and also new ways of blending. She treats the plants like people and this extra care and attention results in a delicious cup.
