From Horsham Coffee Roaster:

Brewing: This coffee works well with all filter brewers and espresso. For filter we recommend a 1 - 15.5 brew ratio, and for espresso a 1 - 2.1 brew ratio.

Example: Filter: 16g - 250ml // Espresso: 18g - 38ml

Brazil is the worlds largest coffee producer and in 2014 the total production was around 2.7 million tons. To put this into perspective, Ethiopia, the largest producer in Africa produced about 400,000 tons in the same year.

A large amount of the coffee produced in Brazil is low grade arabica or robusta. However, many farms focus on quality and Brazil exports a massive range of different flavour profiles. Most coffee is processed using the natural or pulped natural method resulting in nutty, chocolate flavours that many coffee drinkers love.

Fazenda Recanto is located in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. The farm is is inside a volcano that is no longer active. This means the trees benefit from amazing volcanic soil! They grow a wide range of varietals and we've selected a yellow catuai lot for this year. We were very impressed with the quality of samples from Recanto last year after the harvest and we are very pleased to finally be able to share this with you!

Recanto is a large estate farm covering close to 300 hectares and is both Rainforest Alliance and UTZ certified.
