Foundry Coffee Roasters - Sheffield

Getting roaster details...

Here at Foundry Coffee Roasters we are committed to sourcing the best green coffee beans from all over the world. We love finding out about the people who grow them for us and the places they come from. Then we spend a lot of time experimenting until we are happy that we have found the perfect roast profile for each and every batch of beans. Finally, we get the super-fresh beans out to you by first class post in especially designed, convenient packaging that fits through your letterbox, so no more trips to the sorting office (who has time for that?!)

We pack 350g of coffee into each bag so even the most hardened caffeine addict should have enough to last well over a week and for most of us a pack lasts a couple of weeks or more. Our beans are only ever roasted to order; we believe that this commitment to freshness is an essential aspect of our business. We currently roast twice a week on our brand new roaster; our roasting days for web orders are Mondays and Thursdays.

We think that our small capacity, high quality Probat 5kg roaster really helps us to precisely control the roast and get consistently amazing results. It's probably worth mentioning that our roasts tend to be somewhere between light and medium, this depends purely on what we think is best for that particular bean.

Our company was formed in March 2012 by a group of four friends in Sheffield. We all love coffee and this quest for ever better coffee drinking experiences is what drives us. We wanted to build a business with a philosophy based on simplicity and transparency. We believe that being open and straightforward with our customers and our suppliers helps us to develop the kinds of relationships we want with everyone we come into contact with.

Our aim is to create a business which has a positive impact in our local community and in the communities of the people who work hard to grow our beans. We always ensure that our beans are ethically sourced and we always know who grew them and where they came from. We think that the farmers who provide our wonderful beans deserve to be fairly treated too and we believe in being entirely transparent about how we operate.

We are trying to be the best at what we do but we are equally determined to have fun whilst doing it! We pride ourselves on our can-do approach and we are committed to building lasting relationships with all our customers. We're also a very friendly bunch so feel free to get in touch if you want to ask us any questions about our company. We are really looking forward to getting to know you better and we are always keen to learn how we can improve what we do.
