Horsham Coffee Roaster: Honduras, Capucas co-operative - Swiss Water Decaf, Washed

The Honduras Capucas co-operative is located at high altitude on the Celaque mountain range. Founded in 1999 the co-operative focuses on the processing of coffee harvested by members and delivered to a local washing station. Most producers grow Catuai and all are organic, fair trade and rainforest alliance certified.

The harvest takes place from December to February and coffee is pulped, washed and dried in large solar dries protecting the coffee from moisture and allowing good airflow during the drying process.

The decaffeination process was done by Swiss Water and has retained the natural flavours of the coffee. This method is completely organic and no chemicals are used making this an organic certified decaf.
