From Horsham Coffee Roaster:

Summer Fruits, Raspberry Jam, Apricot, Milk Chocolate

Brewing: This coffee works well with all filter brewers and espresso. For filter we recommend a 1 - 16 brew ratio, and for espresso a 1 - 2.5 brew ratio.

Example: Filter: 15g - 250ml // Espresso: 18g - 45ml

We would also recommend reducing your brew pressure when making espresso with this coffee, 6-7 bar is ideal.

We always get excited at this time of year as there are so many great coffees arriving. Ethiopia is always a standout favourite for us as they produce stunning washed and natural processed coffee.

The Gora Kone washing station is situated in the Arsi region, next to the Nensebo river and the village of Werka. The station provides an income for 700 to 800 coffee smallholders. Most farms cover an average of 3 hectare where you will find wanza and acacia trees that shade their coffee. Cherries are handpicked between November and January and delivered to Gora Kona washing station for processing.

Both wet and dry methods are used to process cherries. Washed coffee is dried for 10 to 12 days, and natural for 15 to 18 days. The drying beds are exposed on steep hill sides that are exposed to great amounts of wind.

We've selected one of their washed coffees after blind cupping a range of fresh crop Ethiopia samples. This one really stood out for us due to its amazing complexity and broad flavour profile.
