From Lee at Foundry Coffee Roasters: "In contrast to our most popular coffee, our new bean from El Salvador showcases the other end of the espresso spectrum. Where our Yirg is light and fruity, this bean is a more traditional medium roast. Instead of fruit we get much darker, more comforting flavours, which are perfectly suited to the cold weather. The dominant notes are black treacle and chocolate. The sweetness is darker, like molasses perhaps and overall this is a bold yet perfectly balanced roast. We’re finding dark chocolate sweetness when served in milk with big body and a really sleek finish."
We’re expecting that this will be popular with those that like to have a coffee like this in their repertoire, I know I do. It delivers in an effortless way for filter methods too, sweet treacle and a hint of spice in the finish.
