From Clifton Coffee:

The 2017 UK Brewers Cup Winning Coffee.

This coffee is from a wet mill in Gigessa a part of Guji, and is privately owned by Faysel Abdosh. We have bought coffee from Faysel for a few years now, having previously used coffee from this mill in EQ and as single origins.

It’s a brand new wet mill in Shakiso that opened in 2014. They are already producing 8 containers of washed coffees and 7 containers of naturals. Lots are generally separated in 150 bags of parchment, equal to 100 bags of green beans.

There are around 850 smallholder farmer who delivery cherries daily to the wet miller. On average farmers own less than 1 hectares of land. Most coffees grown in this region are organic by default, and farmers typically have less than 1500 trees per hectare. One tree typically produces cherries equal to less than 100-200grams of green coffee.

We are excited to be able to offer this coffee again in 2018, which we believe tastes even better this year.
