Location & Farmer - This coffee is from the Mpango village in the Mbeya Rural district. A cooperative of 30 farmers grow bourbon and typica varietals at an altitude of around 1600 metres above sea level.
The Processing - This is a washed process coffee- the ripe cherries are picked and sorted, defect cherries as well as unripe/overripe cherries are removed. The cherries are then pulped to remove the bulk of the fruit flesh, then the coffee is then soaked to remove the rest of the fruit. The clean coffee is then dried in raised beds.
