From Casa Espresso:

This lot of coffee is grown and picked from two villages, Banka Yi and Banka Er, and is processed at the aptly named Banka washing station, consisting of Catimor P3/P4 varietals at an altitude of 1350 masl. The cherry is dried on raised beds for around 20 days in a solar dryer.

We have sourced this coffee through a company called Indochina, a small family business working directly with farmers and producers in Southeast Asia to bring their specialty coffee to roasters in the UK and Europe. Indochina Coffee is all about forging long term, mutually respectful relationships with Southeast Asian coffee producers and farmers. Much of the wealth derived from coffee does not benefit the indigenous people who actually grow it. They’re committed to working with like-minded partners to help make that change.

This coffee is produced by their origin partners, Yunnan Coffee Traders, who manage Banka wet mill and a portion of the Banka farm, some 100 hectares of land, installing one of the region’s first optical sorters, experimenting with processing methods such as yeast fermentation and growing new varieties such as Pacamara and Yellow Bourbon.
