From Foundry Coffee Roasters:

Well, here's someting a little unusual for you. Flavour notes that are more regularly associated with Ethiopian coffee and body that you might expect to find in a Colombian. We love this as a full bodied yet floral espresso and a natural-processed coffee from Honduras is a first for us - it won't be the last!

This is a coffee that we launched on the UK Coffee Forums as part of their LSOL subscription. The brief was to come up with something a little different and we were keen to try to present something that was a little out of the ordinary. You can read about how those folks found the coffee here: http://coffeeforums.co.uk/showthread.php?47587-LSOL-December-Christmas-Edition-Foundry-Sheffield/page23

In the cup, we found flavours that reminded us of blueberries, peaches and strawberries. In pour over, we get a sticky brown sugar sweetness too. Really delicious, clean coffee.

Nely Suyapa Orellana is the owner of Las Gemelas, which is a 2 hectare farm at 1200masl in the El Hichozal area of Corquin, Copan. The farm is named after her twin daughters, who she intends to hand the farm down to. Las Gemelas is planted with yellow and red catuai, with the yellow catuai seeds coming from her husband, Donaldo Gonzales Fiallos, and displaying the same amazing sweetness and delicate acidity. This is the second year that Nely has produced micro-lots, but with the help of the Specialty Agronomy Project she was able to improve the quality of her naturals considerably this year.
