From Clifton Coffee:

Dona Luz Mila is 38 years old manages her families farm, Bella Vista, which is within the indigenous reserve and are now honey processing all of their coffee. Her family hails from the towns of Aponte and Paramo, deep in the Juanambu canyon. This group belonged to the norternmost part of the Inca Empite. The  Canyon  itself  is  located  in  the  municipality  of  Buesaco.  Although  Buesaco  was  founded  in  the  early  1700s,  its  history  becomes  interesting  during Colombia’s  war  of  independence. Nariño  became  famous  as  one  of  the  few  states  in  Colombia  that  sided  heavily  with  the  crown  instead  of  the  independence  armies.

In true rebel form, Dona Luz has processed this small lot using the honey method. The coffee was pulped and then dried before being washed. The intense fermentation process that occurs when coffee is dried with out removing the mucilage leads to a cup profile with intense fruits.
