Horsham Coffee Roaster

Getting roaster details...

As all of the best things often do, a trip abroad, in this case to Toronto, sparked a burgeoning new interest for husband and wife team Bradley and Amelia - in Speciality coffee. Upon their return home in 2012 they started experimenting with coffee roasting, initially using a popcorn maker and then moving on to a 1kg roaster in their garage and very successfully selling the coffee thus produced at a regular food market in their beautiful home town of Horsham, Sussex.

From the beginning, ethical considerations have been a top priority for the Roasters and they hold themselves to high standards. They are the proud purveyor of what they call: ‘Relationship Coffee’ which encompasses more than just superficially visiting farmers and washing stations. Great importance is placed on having a direct relationship and working closely with producers to build sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships, in their case particularly with a Rwandan Coffee Cooperative.

Although the market stall is no more, their roastery now proudly hosts a 25kg roasting machine and their team has expanded to seven. Horsham are always aiming to grow and are constantly looking for exciting new coffees to add to their range - with a focus on single origins.
