From Clifton Coffee:

Our EQ seasonal espresso blend is all about balance. We focus on body, sweetness and acidity to make sure they are in perfect harmony. We have selected unique coffees that have distinct characteristics from their origin, varietal, processing method and terroir.

50% Guatemala PRIMAVERA SMALL HOLDERS (Washed)

The Primavera family have worked tirelessly to help Small Holding Guatemalan farmers get their coffee to market. Thanks to dry, hot winds that blow from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain, the Highland Huehue region is protected from frost. This allows for cultivation at extreme altitudes of beans with an intense acidity, full body and zingy orange notes.

30% Ethiopia GUJI (Natural)

At 1950 metres above sea level the coffee cherries are hand picked and then sorted at the mill. It is placed on raised beds to ferment and dry for around 10-15 days. The Guji packs a funky punch of fermented fruit.

20% Burundi CAFEX (Natural)

CAFEX was launched by a Belgian-Burundian couple that wanted to combine the coffee production of their ancestral lands with sustainable development. All the cherries are hand picked, and arrive at the washing station at sunset. The processing takes place at night, and the coffee is placed on raised African beds ready for sunrise. The controlled fermentation delivers lactic acidity and creamy mouthfeel. Think Toffee Penny.
