Burundi is always a hit with our customers. On the strength of the recent Migoti Hill, this natural from the Nemba Washing Station will be huge success, especially as it scores a massive 88 on the SCA scale.
Once again, the meticulous nature of Burundi’s initial hand-picking process, means that this is an incredibly clean coffee, that is fruity and sweet. It's also a Red Bourbon varietal which is a delight to roast.
Burundi has long been overlooked in comparison to its neighbouring East African specialty coffee-producing powerhouses. However, Burundi season, for us, is one of the highlights of the annual coffee calendar. The country’s coffee is produced almost entirely by smallholder farmers, and much of this small-scale production is of exceptional quality. With its super-sweet, clean and often floral coffees, Burundi, is really establishing itself on the specialty coffee map.
