Getting product details...

From Cast Iron Coffee Roasters:

A beautiful, clean and classic Kenya coffee. Every year we wait with excitement for fresh crop Kenyans to land, and this year is no exception. The Thunguri AA is a classic Kenyan and is perfect for both filter and espresso, drunk black or with milk.

Thunguri is a primary wet mill or ‘factory’ as they are known in Kenya. Located on the southern slopes of Mount Kenya in the Kirinyaga District. It is associated with the Kibirigwi Co-Operative and has a total of 1025 active smallholder farmers who deliver coffee each year to the wet mill for it to be fully washed, processed and sun-dried.

Each smallholder will have approximately half an acre of land producing coffee with just 270 trees each which can be cared for with immaculate attention to detail. Before pulping, all cherries are hand-selected and graded to ensure consistent quality with the ‘AA’ grade being the highest.
